The Adani Group, which manages seven airports within the country, is trying to spend money on India’s largest impartial plane upkeep, restore and overhaul (MRO) organisation in a bid to boost its civil aviation portfolio.

The group is exploring a settlement with shareholders of Mumbai-based Air Works Group to get a stake within the 71-year-old aviation agency.

Air Works providers GoAir, IndiGo, and Vistara, along with over a dozen overseas airways together with Lufthansa, FlyDubai, Etihad, Turkish Airways, and Virgin Atlantic. It also counts the Indian Navy amongst its clients and, earlier this month, collaborated with Boeing for heavy upkeep reviews on three Indian Navy P-8I long-range maritime patrol planes.

The Adani Group has started its due diligence into Air Works Group, a supply mentioned including that discussions have been at an early stage.

Air Works Group competes with 50 standalone Indian MRO gamers jointly with Authorities-run AI Engineering Providers Ltd and GMR Aero Technic.

Adani Group manages the nation’s second-largest airport in Mumbai, along with airports in Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, and Mangaluru. The corporation also gives MRO providers at its airports in collaboration with Mumbai-based Indamer Aviation Pvt Ltd.

The proposed take care of Air Works is according to the Adani Group’s plan to leverage options arising from the rising Indian civil aviation demand and the rising desire for MRO providers.

Adani has been keen on supplementing its airport's portfolio with MRO for a while currently. They have a partnership with Indamer Aviation however that hasn’t taken off. They’ve even made some appointments in the last 12 months to decide on the corporate’s broader MRO technique.
