Tata Steel unveils automated construction service centre in UP

Tata Steel officially unveiled a state-of-the-art automated construction service centre in Uttar Pradesh dedicated to the production of reinforced products. This cutting-edge facility, situated in Ghaziabad, marks the company's second establishment of its kind, the first being located in Cuttack, Odisha. During a media briefing, Ashish Anupam, Chairperson of Marketing & Sales for Long Products at Tata Steel, highlighted that the Ghaziabad centre would not only manufacture reinforced products but also offer tailored solutions to the construction industry.

Tata Steel has joined forces with its channel partner, Vikrant Ispat Udyog, to inaugurate its inaugural service centre in western Uttar Pradesh. The primary objective is to deliver personalised reinforcement products and comprehensive solutions to cater to the construction industry's needs. This facility is equipped to produce customised "cut and bend Tata Tiscon TMT rebars, complete with coupler threading." Furthermore, the centre offers downstream solutions such as welded wire mesh and bore pile cages, catering to the diverse requirements of the construction sector.

Operating as a fully automated downstream manufacturing facility, this centre boasts an impressive production capacity of 3,500 tonnes per month (TPM). Tata Steel has ambitious plans to replicate this success by establishing an additional 10 similar centres at various locations across the country.

It's worth noting that in June 2023, Tata Steel inaugurated a similar state-of-the-art automated construction service centre in Cuttack, Odisha, further solidifying its commitment to delivering innovative solutions to the construction industry.
