Yogi Govt’s Rs 2.08 Billion ‘Safe City’ Push for Noida
At the heart of this initiative is the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), which will unify operations across police stations, CCTV networks, and traffic management systems. The ICCC will also house a modern data center and connect to a public address system to disseminate real-time alerts during emergencies.
The six core components of the Safe City project include:
A robust city communication network
The ICCC hub
An advanced data centre
CCTV-based surveillance across Noida
An Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS)
A Geographic Information System (GIS) to map and monitor urban activity
To further strengthen citywide monitoring, the system will include face recognition, digital forensics, panic boxes, and cryptocurrency investigation tools. Key tech upgrades such as bullet-proof PTZ cameras, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) cameras, and visual display units will also be deployed.
The Noida Authority has already started groundwork for the project, which will cover 225 square kilometers of the city. Authorities believe this will not only enhance women’s safety but also boost the overall urban security apparatus.
With all eyes on this Rs 2.08 billion mission, Noida is poised to become a benchmark for smart city surveillance and emergency response systems in India.
