Tamil Nadu signs Rs 20 billion pact with US-based Trilliant

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin announced that the state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with US-based Trilliant to establish a manufacturing unit and a global support center in the state, with an investment of Rs 20 billion. The agreement was signed during Stalin’s official visit to Chicago as part of his efforts to attract investments to Tamil Nadu.

Trilliant, a leading provider of Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Smart Grid, Smart Cities, and Industrial Internet of Things solutions, will play a significant role in the state's industrial growth.

Stalin also held discussions with Nike officials about expanding their footwear production in Tamil Nadu and the possibility of setting up a product creation and design centre in Chennai. Additionally, he met with representatives from healthcare company Optum, which employs 5,000 people in Tamil Nadu. He encouraged the firm to expand its operations to Trichy and Madurai.
