Stalin inaugurates Tata Motors' Rs 9,000 cr manufacturing plant

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for Tata Motors' new manufacturing facility, marking an investment of Rs9,000 crore. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in Panapakkam, about 115 km from Chennai, and is expected to create 5,000 new jobs.
The event was attended by senior DMK Ministers Durai Murugan and T.R.B. Rajaa, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam, and Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran.
Stalin expressed his enthusiasm for Tata Motors' decision to establish the facility in Tamil Nadu, stating, "Tamil Nadu is the first investment destination not only for large companies in India but also for multinational corporations. We are proud to have Chandrasekaran at this event; he is a source of pride for the state."
In March, Tata Motors signed a memorandum of understanding with the government to set up the factory.
