Shalabh Goel Appointed as NCRTCS Managing Director

Shalabh Goel has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTCS). This appointment marks a significant leadership change for the organisation responsible for implementing the rapid rail transit system in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Goel, who brings extensive experience in urban transportation and infrastructure projects, succeeds Vinay Kumar Singh, who had been at the helm since the corporation's inception. Goel's expertise in project management and urban mobility solutions is expected to steer NCRTCS through its next phase of development and expansion.

Under Goel's leadership, NCRTCS aims to accelerate the completion of its flagship project, the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridor. This ambitious project is designed to reduce travel time, decongest traffic, and provide a sustainable and efficient mode of transportation for the region's commuters.

Goel has previously held key positions in various transportation and infrastructure projects, where he demonstrated a keen ability to manage complex projects and deliver results. His appointment comes at a crucial time as NCRTCS is gearing up to operationalize the first phase of the RRTS project, which is set to revolutionise regional connectivity.

The rapid rail project is expected to have a transformative impact on the NCR by facilitating seamless travel and reducing the carbon footprint associated with road traffic. Goel's vision includes not only timely project completion but also ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and commuter satisfaction.

The NCRTCS Board has expressed confidence in Goel's capabilities to lead the organisation and achieve its goals. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the corporation's operational excellence and reinforce its commitment to modernising urban transportation in the National Capital Region.
