RITES and NMDC Partner to Boost Rail Connectivity at Mining Sites

Transportation infrastructure consulting firm RITES recently entered into an initial agreement with NMDC Limited, a leading iron ore producer in India, to provide comprehensive project management consultancy services. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) is intended to support the construction, upgrading, and development of rail connectivity for NMDC’s mines and associated facilities across different regions.

In a press release, it was stated that RITES would deliver end-to-end consultancy services, covering all phases from concept to commissioning. This would involve conducting reconnaissance surveys, feasibility studies, preparing Detailed Project Reports (DPR), and overseeing project management for rail connectivity initiatives. Additionally, the consultancy would include related civil works, such as the construction of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure essential for efficient transportation and logistics in NMDC's operational zones.
