Realme and Optiemus to make 5M AIoT devices annually in India

Chinese mobile brand Realme has entered into a strategic partnership with Optiemus Electronics (OEL) to manufacture AIoT products, including earphones, smartwatches, and tablets. As part of this collaboration, Realme and OEL are aiming to produce 5 million AIoT devices annually. Additionally, the company is exploring the possibility of exporting Made-in-India AIoT products to international markets, further enhancing India's position in global technology manufacturing.

This partnership is expected to create over 2,000 new job opportunities in India, contributing to the country's economic growth. The initial phase of manufacturing will focus on products such as the Realme Buds T200 series, Realme Buds Wireless series, and Realme Buds Air series. Realme is also working to strengthen its local supply chain by sourcing critical components, including PCBAs, batteries, mechanics, cables, and chargers, from Indian suppliers.

By localizing production, Realme is not only aiming to meet the growing domestic demand but also aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which promotes self-reliance in the manufacturing sector. This move underscores Realme's commitment to expanding its footprint in India, both in terms of production and job creation, while reinforcing its efforts to make India a key hub for AIoT product manufacturing.
