Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth over Rs 337 billion in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Addressing the gathering on the first day of Navratri, he emphasised the state's spiritual significance and the ongoing commitment to infrastructure and livelihood development. 

The projects span key sectors, including housing, education, transport, power, and energy. Modi highlighted the completion of three lakh homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), marking a significant milestone in housing for the underprivileged. He underscored the government's efforts to improve connectivity, announcing new railway projects totalling 219 km and road infrastructure enhancements worth Rs 12.7 billion. 

In the power sector, the Prime Minister laid the foundation for NTPC’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (1x800MW) and Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited’s (CSPGCL) first Super Critical Thermal Power Project (2X660MW), together worth over Rs 255.9 billion. He also inaugurated three power transmission projects under POWERGRID’s Western Region Expansion Scheme. 

To advance cleaner energy solutions, Modi launched the City Gas Distribution project in multiple districts and the Visakh-Raipur Pipeline Project, ensuring expanded gas infrastructure. Additionally, he dedicated 130 PM SHRI Schools and the Vidya Samiksha Kendra in Raipur to enhance education quality. 

Emphasising the government's commitment to Chhattisgarh’s development, Modi reiterated his vision for making the state a leading economic powerhouse. He highlighted ongoing efforts to bring investments, create jobs, and ensure that growth reaches every household.
