The PM e-Drive Centre has officially launched an extensive Rs.10,900 crore electric vehicle (EV) subsidy scheme aimed at boosting the adoption of electric mobility in India. This initiative is part of the government's strategy to promote sustainable transportation and reduce carbon emissions.

Under this scheme, financial incentives will be provided to manufacturers and buyers of electric vehicles, encouraging the production and purchase of EVs across the country. The scheme is expected to enhance the domestic EV market, making electric vehicles more accessible and affordable to consumers.

With the increasing focus on green energy and sustainable practices, this subsidy program aligns with India’s broader goals of environmental conservation and energy efficiency.
