NBCC bags construction order worth Rs 5 Bn

NBCC India said it has bagged a construction order worth Rs 5 billion from the Bureau of Indian Standards. As per the order, NBCC will construct buildings at BIS headquarters in New Delhi, central laboratory, Sahibabad, National Institute of Training for standardisation, Noida, Northern Regional Laboratory, Mohali and Bangalore Branch Laboratory, Bengaluru.

On Monday, November 4, the company said its subsidiary Hindustan Steelworks Construction Ltd (HSCL) bagged work orders worth Rs 650 million in Bengaluru. As per the order, Hindustan Steelworks Construction will undertake development work on Bank of Baroda’s commercial plot located at Financial City, Bengaluru Hardware Park. The project will be executed on a deposit work basis, according to the exchange filing. Last week, the company bagged multiple orders worth Rs 2.35 billion. Among these orders, NBCC has won an order worth Rs 1.86 billion from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. for the renovation of the latter's corporate office building in Gurugram.

Additionally, NBCC has received an order worth Rs 440 million from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University in Varanasi for the construction of a multipurpose examination hall cum innovation center at the university, according to its exchange filing.

NBCC shares were trading 2.05% lower at ?95.8 apiece at 11.45 am on Tuesday, November 5. The stock has gained 75.48% this year, so far.
