Jammu-Udhampur & Katra e-bus services start
Rahul Yadav, CEO, Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) explained that the delay in initiating the e-bus service was due to a toll issue at the toll plaza. However, necessary arrangements, including the installation of Fastag on the buses, have been made, and the e-bus service to Udhampur and Katra cities has officially commenced today.
According to sources, these e-buses running between Jammu-Udhampur and Katra are spacious vehicles measuring 12 meters in length, equipped with high-back seats, and have a seating capacity of 34 passengers per vehicle. The operation of these e-buses falls under the jurisdiction of JSCL.
This morning, the e-buses departed from Bus Stand Jammu for Katra and Udhampur at 6:30 am, marking the beginning of their regular services. Furthermore, it is worth noting that approximately 75 e-buses are already operational for intra-city travel within Jammu, contributing to the city's sustainable transportation infrastructure.
