India to Host Over 620 Global Capability Centres by 2030

India is projected to house Global Capability Centres (GCCs) for more than 620 Forbes Global 2000 companies by 2030, marking a nearly 40% increase, according to a study by consulting firm ANSR.

The workforce in these GCCs is expected to grow by 45% during this period, reaching 1.9 million employees. Currently, 450 Forbes Global 2000 companies operate 825 GCCs in India. 
These centres, which serve as strategic hubs for global companies, have been expanding at a compound annual growth rate of 5.5%.

Notably, 45% of these organisations have adopted multi-centre operations, spreading their presence across multiple Indian cities, reflecting the country's growing appeal as a global talent and innovation hub.
