India, Sweden Look to Strengthen Climate Solutions Partnership
Christian Kamill, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Sweden, stated that Sweden is a leader in green technologies, while India has vast potential for large-scale implementation. He highlighted green hydrogen, carbon capture, and circular economy as promising areas for cooperation.
Kamill also noted that Sweden generates over 50% of its energy from renewable sources and is investing heavily in wind and solar energy.
On sustainable industrial transformation, Kamill emphasised that India’s manufacturing capabilities, combined with Sweden’s sustainable practices, could drive significant progress.
Sofia Hogman, Trade Commissioner of Sweden to India, outlined Sweden’s contributions to India’s sustainability, noting the India-Sweden Innovations Accelerator programme, which has introduced over 70 Swedish green-tech companies to the Indian market.
