Swedish officials have expressed optimism about deepening collaboration with India in innovation and green technology to tackle global climate challenges through sustainable practices and renewable energy solutions.

Kamill also noted that Sweden generates over 50% of its energy from renewable sources and is investing heavily in wind and solar energy.

On sustainable industrial transformation, Kamill emphasised that India’s manufacturing capabilities, combined with Sweden’s sustainable practices, could drive significant progress.

Sofia Hogman, Trade Commissioner of Sweden to India, outlined Sweden’s contributions to India’s sustainability, noting the India-Sweden Innovations Accelerator programme, which has introduced over 70 Swedish green-tech companies to the Indian market.
