IHCL to Open Gateway Resort in Gwalior
Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, said, “Gwalior, with its rich heritage and growing infrastructure, is emerging as a key destination in central India. This signing reflects our strategy of expanding in key cultural and economic centres across the country. We are delighted to partner with Imperial Hospitality for this project.”
The Gateway Gwalior will be located on a vast 30.8-acre site and will feature 186 rooms. Guests will enjoy a range of dining options, including an all-day diner, specialty restaurants, and a bar. The resort will also provide numerous recreational facilities such as a gym, two swimming pools, a spa, and a golf course.
For events, the resort will boast extensive banqueting facilities, including two outdoor venues capable of accommodating up to 10,000 guests and two indoor halls with a combined area of 1,100 square metres. The resort is designed to cater to both social celebrations and corporate gatherings.

This collaboration will set a new benchmark for hospitality in the region, creating a destination for weddings, events, and extended stays.” Gwalior, celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and stunning architecture, is recognised as a UNESCO ‘City of Music’ and is also part of India’s Smart Cities Mission. With this addition, IHCL will operate 15 properties in Madhya Pradesh, including six currently under development.
