DARPG Hosts National Workshop on Sevottam & Grievance Redressal in Bhopal

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) organized a National Workshop on "Sevottam and Effective Redressal of Public Grievances" on February 20, 2025, at RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The workshop focused on developing a strategic roadmap to enhance grievance redressal mechanisms and build capacity in governance, aligning with the national vision for transparency and accountability.

The event brought together key officials, including the former Chief Election Commissioner of India, the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh, and the Secretary of DARPG & the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare. Discussions centered on leveraging technology, data analytics, and business process re-engineering to improve grievance resolution. Emphasis was placed on identifying systemic issues and streamlining processes to address complaints more effectively.

The role of CPGRAMS in strengthening grievance redressal at the state level was a key focus, with plans for the implementation of a new review module. This module will enable State Chief Secretaries to conduct regular evaluations and meetings on grievance redressal within their respective states.

Additionally, the workshop highlighted innovative initiatives and best practices in public grievance resolution across the country. Insights were shared on improving public service delivery through institutional reforms and enhanced administrative mechanisms. The event underscored the commitment to refining citizen-centric governance and ensuring efficient resolution of public grievances.
