Amit Shah Inaugurates Key Projects at Brahmanand Vidyadham
Shri Amit Shah highlighted the significant developments taking place, including the darshan of Somnath Jyotirling, the foundation stone laying of a sugar mill, and the inauguration of a military school. He criticised previous governments for neglecting crucial national issues due to vote bank politics, leaving matters unresolved. He credited Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for addressing these long-standing concerns within just ten years, including the abrogation of Article 370, the abolition of triple talaq, the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code. He further stated that the construction of the Ram Temple has been a historic milestone, fulfilling a 550-year-old aspiration, while the redevelopment of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the ongoing gold-clad restoration of the Somnath Temple signify the country’s deep cultural revival.
Emphasising national security as the foremost duty of the Modi government, Shri Shah asserted that there would be no compromise in safeguarding the country. He recalled the era when terrorist attacks from across the border would go unchallenged under previous administrations. However, following the Uri and Pulwama attacks in 2015, India responded decisively with surgical and airstrikes under Modi Ji’s leadership, sending a clear message to adversaries that any aggression against India would be met with swift retaliation. He reiterated that under Modi Ji’s governance, India's security apparatus has been significantly strengthened, ensuring that the country’s borders remain well-protected.
Turning his attention to agricultural reforms, Shri Shah pointed out that 60 to 70 crore Indians are dependent on agriculture, yet past governments overlooked their needs. He noted that in 2013-14, the agricultural budget stood at a mere Rs 220 billion, whereas under Modi Ji’s leadership, it has been increased nearly sixfold to Rs 1.37 trillion. Additionally, Rs 25 trillion in loans have been provided to farmers, reflecting the government’s unwavering commitment to their welfare.
During the event, Shri Amit Shah also inaugurated the Military School and laid the foundation stone for staff quarters at Brahmanand Vidyadham. He praised Shri Muktanand Bapu for his selfless service, highlighting several transformative initiatives undertaken under his guidance in a small village, including a 450-bed hospital, a veterinary hospital, children’s institutions, a naturopathy centre, a military school, and the Anand Dhara project. He also noted Bapu’s remarkable service during the Kumbh Mela, where he provided meals for 25,000 people daily.
In conclusion, Shri Shah emphasised that the Maha Kumbh has delivered a profound message of Sanatan Dharma to the world, leaving a lasting impact that will be remembered for generations.
