Adani Group to Invest Rs 650 Billion in Chhattisgarh

Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, met with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on January 12 in Raipur to announce an investment of Rs 650 billion in the state’s energy and cement sectors, according to officials.
As part of the investment, the Adani Group will allocate Rs 600 billion to expand its power plants in Raipur, Korba, and Raigarh, boosting Chhattisgarh’s power generation capacity by 6,120 MW. Additionally, Rs 50 billion will be dedicated to the development and expansion of cement plants across the state.
Responding to the Chief Minister’s recommendations, Adani also committed Rs 100 billion over the next four years for projects in education, healthcare, skill development, and tourism under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The meeting also discussed opportunities for collaboration in manufacturing defence equipment, establishing data centres, and creating a Global Capability Centre in the state.
The announcements underscore the Adani Group’s focus on bolstering infrastructure, industry, and community development in Chhattisgarh.
