Ayodhya Ram Temple’s ground floor to take shape by UP polls 2022

Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced on Monday that the foundation work of the Ayodhya Ram temple is expected to be completed by October this year.

The temple's ground floor will take shape by the 2022 Uttar Pradesh polls and the entire temple is expected to be ready before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.

Champat Rai, Secretary of Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, added that the work is going all around the clock for ensuring the fast completion of the temple amid the Covid pandemic.

Construction companies Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Balaji Construction and Tata Consultants Engineers are working as consultants in the project. Chandrakant Sompura is working as an architect for this project.

As per the estimates shared, the construction of the temple by L&T could take around 26 months. Despite the second wave of Covid the project is on the fast track which is expected to be completed by the end of 2023 or early 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely inaugurate the Ram temple in Ayodhya before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections scheduled in February-March.

The central government has also fast-tracked work on the International Airport to come up in Ayodhya by 2022 and recently bids were invited for the development of the airport.
