Trimble Tekla User Days 2023 to accentuate Digital Construction benefits

Global construction technology leader Trimble hosted its flagship annual event for its Indian customers, Tekla Users Days (TUD) 2023 India on 18 and 19 October 2023 in Chennai. The company hosted its first-ever “Hybrid” version of this mega summit where software users, company executives and senior industry leaders came together to discuss the latest insights and trends in construction software technology solutions. While the ‘Hybrid’ event was held in person at Chennai, it was beamed live to audiences across India and South Asia. Tekla User Day (TUD) is an annual flagship event that celebrates the community of Trimble's Tekla users, experts, innovators, customers, and industry leaders and experts.

Hosted every year, the event offers an environment for furthering the understanding of sophisticated structural design, Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions and the latest technology trends in the industry. The two-day conference featured a number of innovative trends and ideas thanks to its many categories and sessions, which included lectures, live Q&As, chats, surveys and other brainstorming sessions.

The highlight of this year’s Tekla User Days India was Digital Construction: The value of Truly Constructible and Connected Digital Construction workflows. A keynote address from Rahul Sharma, Chief Information Officer (CIO), TATA Projects, brought into context how India is driving infrastructure growth through digital transformation and the vast opportunity ahead. Later in the day, an insightful fireside chat between Mahesh A Chikodi, Group Chief Digital Officer, Larsen & Toubro and Harsh Pareek, Regional Sales Director, Trimble Solutions, highlighted how L&T is charting India’s infrastructure growth by optimally using digital construction technologies.

Further, Arjun Raju, Senior Project Manager, Sanria Engineering, Industry Experts: Gautam Das, Deputy General Manager - BIM, Pinnacle Infotech Solutions, Ravikanth Mididhodi, CTO J&F India and Vasudev Rao, Director Engineering, Zamil Steel Buildings India, who joined the event as speakers and shared their expertise with the audiences. Rajan Aiyer, Trimble’s VP & MD for India and South Asia, delivered a keynote on Day 2 and showcased how the company is transforming the way infrastructure is being developed with Trimble technologies in India.

This year, the company also revealed winners of its Tekla BIM Awards 2023 at TUD, which honoured major construction projects and industry figures of India. The winners included L&T Construction HCI for Infrastructure projects, Sanria Engineering for Commercial projects, Arteras Engineering for Public projects, Chennai Institute of Technology for Student projects and others winners in different categories.
