UP Govt's Infrastructure Boost Fuels Real Estate Surge in Prayagraj
Local property dealers have observed a rise in inquiries for both furnished and unfurnished rental properties as construction professionals seek long-term lodging. In response, many homeowners have started converting vacant rooms and houses into homestays, providing accommodation, meals, and other essential services to meet the increasing demand. Restaurants and tiffin services are also witnessing higher business volumes as they cater to these temporary residents. This trend has given a significant boost to the local real estate market and the hospitality sector.
Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, preparations for Maha Kumbh 2025 are progressing rapidly in Prayagraj. He has directed that all construction work must be finished by December 15. Both government and private construction companies are making considerable efforts to meet the deadline, transforming Prayagraj into a city ready to host the major religious gathering.
Harjinder Singh, President of the Prayagraj Hotels and Restaurants Owners Association, expressed the enthusiasm among local businesses as they prepare for Maha Kumbh. He mentioned that hotel and restaurant operators are upgrading their facilities to meet the needs of visitors during the event. According to Singh, many national and multinational companies have already reserved rooms in the city's hotels, with several of their officials staying there for extended periods. In addition to corporate bookings, there has been a rise in inquiries and advance reservations from devotees and tourists eager to secure accommodations for the main bathing days of the Maha Kumbh.
