Real estate company Sobha Limited has recorded 49% growth in sales bookings at Rs 1,030.2 crore during the second quarter (Q2) of the fiscal year (FY) 2022 on housing demand. In 2020, the company sold properties worth Rs 689.9 crore.

The company informed that the sales booking volume increased to 13,48,84 sq ft in Q2 in FY22 from 8,91,700 sq ft in Q2 FY21.

The sales bookings of Sobha have increased to Rs 1,713.1 crore during April-September in FY22 from Rs 1,177.6 crore in the same period in FY21.

Overall, in FY 2020-21, the company recorded sales bookings of Rs 3,137.2 crore.

Sobha Ltd said that with this festive season, the company plans new launchings in the next quarter and expects to sustain momentum in the second half (2H) of the fiscal year.

Sobha said that it received the best-ever sales volume at sustainable price realisation in Q2 FY22.

The company said that it achieved good sales numbers in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Pune and Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City). Kerala also witnessed improved sales performance in Q1 FY22. The situation could have been better, but for the prolonged period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
