Odisha Authority Cancels Registrations of Two Housing Projects

Flat buyers in two housing projects are facing uncertainty after the Odisha Real Estate Regulatory Authority (ORERA) revoked the registration certificates for both developments. The move comes after the developer was accused of using railway land to construct an approach road to the flats, allegedly without proper approvals.

The projects, located in Bhubaneswar's Mancheswar area, are now under scrutiny. ORERA has cancelled the registration certificate for one project while giving the developer two months to secure a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the railways for the other.

Previously, ORERA had frozen the bank accounts linked to the firm Harshapriya Neelachal, which is behind the 'HN Courtyard' and 'Mahalakshmi Nivas' projects. Additionally, the authority has imposed a sales ban on the unsold flats in the Mahalakshmi Nivas project.
