Jaipur Development Authority to Launch Residential Scheme on Kalwar Road

If everything proceeds as planned, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is set to launch a residential scheme on December 15, marking the first anniversary of the BJP government, after a four-year hiatus. The project, located on Kalwar Road in Nahri Ka Bas, will cover 12 hectares of land and will be named in honour of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

A JDA official stated that the project committee has approved the name of the scheme and that they are now awaiting approval from the state government to ensure the launch event occurs on December 15.

Although a few residential projects have been developed solely by the JDA, the civic body had paused the development of residential schemes for the last four years. The JDA official mentioned that this would be the first residential scheme post-Covid, and the project would include a total of 386 plots, with 36 reserved for the Low-Income Group (LIG) category and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). There will also be plots designated for retail shops and commercial activities.

The official further explained that the reserve rates for the plots are yet to be determined, but the civic body is planning to begin a lottery in November 2025 to allot the plots. Additionally, officials indicated that three more residential ventures are under consideration by the JDA. Apart from the Kalwar Road project, the JDA is planning a residential scheme near Rohini Nagar in Zone 11, within Manpura Teela village, and two proposed farmhouse projects: one in Govindpura Ropada under Zone 10 and the other in Jairampura within Zone 12 jurisdiction.
