Institutional Investments in Indian Real Estate Surge 31%: Colliers

Institutional investments in Indian real estate soared to $1.3 billion in Q1 2025, marking a 31% year-on-year increase, according to Colliers India. The residential segment led this surge, alongside robust domestic investment activity.
Key Highlights from the Report Domestic investments accounted for 60% of the total inflows, witnessing a 75% annual rise to $0.8 billion. These were largely concentrated in the industrial, warehousing, and office segments.
Housing sector investments nearly tripled to $302.9 million, compared to $102.6 million in Q1 2024. Office segment investments declined 23% to $434.2 million, down from $563 million in the same period last year. Industrial & warehousing saw a 73% surge, reaching $307.7 million, compared to $177.7 million in Q1 2024. Mixed-use projects attracted $191.1 million, a 46% increase from $130.8 million last year.
