Court grants interim bail to RNA Developer's MD in PMLA case

A special court granted interim bail to builder and managing director of RNA Developers Anubhav Agarwal in a money laundering case allegedly involving IAS officer Sanjeev Hans.
While the prosecution sought a three-day transit remand to produce Agarwal before the court in Patna, his lawyers, Vikram Nankani and Sajal Yadav, submitted that his arrest contravened constitutional rights.
They claimed his detention, which began at 6am on Nov 15, exceeded the 24-hour limit for presenting an accused before a court.
Agarwal was shown as being officially arrested at 10.40pm. Last month, the Enforcement Directorate arrested Hans and former Jhanjharpur MLA Gulab Yadav.
