Dynapac adds safety cabs to its vibratory soil compactors

Swedish multinational engineering company Dynapac has now added safety cabs to its two single-drum vibratory soil compactors.

Dynapac told the media that earlier the 5-tonne CA1300 and 7-tonne CA1400 compactors were only available with Roll-Over Protective Structures (ROPS) and Falling-Object Protective Structures (FOPS) operator stations, and now it is equipped with a new cab designed to enhance operator comfort.

The vibratory rollers are designed for compacting operations of soils for roads, streets, repair work, parking lots, and pipe trenches.

The latest safety cab has heating and air conditioning, ventilation, external traffic mirrors, four light-emitting diodes (LED) working lights, a rotating beacon, and a radio with USB or MP3 and Bluetooth connection.

The company has introduced a cab that delivers good visibility and is designed with a structure to protect the workers' legs. Windows are tinted to decrease heat radiation and reflections, and the platform's floor and ceiling are insulated to decrease vibrations on the lower body, hands, and arms. The insulation also helps to reduce noise in the cab.

The door was built larger and can open at an angle for easier access. As options, two adjustable seats are also available. New features include driving lights, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid box.
