Combilift Launches Revolutionary Self-Propelled Inloader at Bauma

Combilift, the global leader in customised material handling solutions, has unveiled its ground-breaking Self-Propelled Inloader – the COMBi-SPI – at Bauma 2025. Designed to transform the transport of high-value and oversized loads, such as precast concrete, wall panels, and glass A-frames, this cutting-edge machine sets new standards in safety, agility, and operational efficiency.

A Game-Changer for High-Load Handling First conceptualised in April 2022, the COMBi-SPI addresses a key challenge in heavy-load transport: the need for a cost-effective, compact and highly manoeuvrable solution as an alternative to traditional trailers and trucks. Developed in close collaboration with Dutch precast concrete specialist Spaansen, the SPI’s evolution culminated in a completely electric-powered model—a shift that necessitated a full design overhaul to integrate electric wheel motors and interchangeable battery systems into the legs of the unit.

Designed for Industry, Driven by Innovation “This project is a testament to Combilift’s culture of innovation and customer-first engineering,” said Josh Moffett, Heavy Equipment Manager at Combilift. "The COMBi-SPI is not just another machine—it’s a transformative logistics solution developed in close partnership with the end users who know the demands of high-load transport best."

The Self-Propelled Inloader is currently on display at Bauma 2025, stand FS.1003/4, where visitors can see firsthand how Combilift continues to redefine material handling technology across sectors
