Waaree Wins 40 MWhr BESS Project in Gujarat

Waaree Renewable Technologies (WRTL) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Continuum Green Energy for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work of a 40 MWhr battery energy storage system (BESS) at wind-solar hybrid sites across Gujarat. The project, valued at approximately ?40 crore, is set to play a vital role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy in the region.

The project will feature an advanced lithium iron phosphate (LFP)-based liquid-cooled containerised BESS solution, marking a significant leap forward in the integration of energy storage with renewable energy sources. Executed under a Lump Sum Turnkey Project agreement, it will combine solar power with battery storage to provide a unified, sustainable energy solution.

Viren Doshi, Director of Waaree Renewable Technologies, expressed his excitement about the project, stating, "This project will significantly enhance renewable energy infrastructure in Gujarat, supporting the growing demand for sustainable energy. It’s a testament to our customers’ trust in our ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget, reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable future."

Arvind Bansal, CEO of Continuum Green Energy, highlighted the importance of the partnership, saying, "This collaboration marks a major step towards integrating energy storage solutions into our wind-solar hybrid projects for industrial consumers. We are confident that Waaree’s execution excellence will help us achieve our shared vision of a greener tomorrow."

This milestone project also marks a key moment in Waaree Renewable Technologies' transformation into an integrated EPC company, further solidifying its position in the rapidly expanding renewable energy market.
