Vikram Solar Expands Capacity to 4.5 GW

Vikram Solar has expanded its solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing capacity by 1 gigawatt (GW) at its Falta facility in West Bengal, pushing the company’s total production capacity to 4.5 GW.

Additionally, the company has upgraded its Oragadam facility in Chennai to manufacture advanced technology modules, including TOPCON and HJT, enhancing efficiency and production capabilities.

The Falta expansion, initiated on December 5, 2024, has now successfully achieved its targeted 1 GW capacity increase. Meanwhile, the Chennai facility’s upgrade, launched on July 19, 2024, has been completed, further strengthening Vikram Solar’s manufacturing capabilities.

“Both projects leverage advanced manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency and ensure adherence to international quality and sustainability standards,” said Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of Vikram Solar.

With this expansion, Vikram Solar reinforces its commitment to scaling operations and driving innovation in the renewable energy sector.
