Vaibhav Urja Invites EoI for Solar Module Supply for 6 MW Projects
29 Jan 2025 CW Team
Engineering, procurement, and construction firm Vaibhav Urja has issued an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the supply of solar modules for 6 MW solar projects under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) in Rajasthan. The projects, spread across three locations with a capacity of 2 MW each, aim to enhance renewable energy adoption in the agricultural sector.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by January 28, 2025, with shortlisted companies set to be notified by February 10 for further evaluation. Selected bidders must supply monocrystalline or high-efficiency polycrystalline modules, ensuring a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 19% over 25 years. Modules must meet strict quality standards, including temperature coefficient requirements, warranty conditions, degradation limits, and compliance with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certifications.
Bid submissions should include details on module efficiency, dimensions, weight, rated power output, degradation rates, and prior project experience in India. Rajasthan and Maharashtra continue to lead in PM-KUSUM Component C implementation, contributing significantly to India’s solar capacity expansion, with over 10 GW expected by 2025.
In a related development, Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam had invited two EoIs in December 2024 for grid-connected solar projects totalling 62.16 MW under PM-KUSUM Component A.
The scope included design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and long-term maintenance of solar plants, along with grid connectivity through 11 kV lines.
