Uttarakhand CM Approves 500 Solar Streetlights for Disaster-prone Areas
In an effort to improve infrastructure, tourism, and community development, multiple projects have been sanctioned. A budget of Rs 9.9 million has been allocated for whitewashing, painting, and repair work at Gurunanak Public Inter College in Dehradun. Additionally, Rs 0.8 million has been approved for constructing a 50 KL capacity reservoir at the Eco Task Force Garhwal Rifle Headquarters in Dehradun to support water conservation efforts.
To boost tourism and cultural heritage preservation, Rs 2.3 million has been allocated for the beautification of Devi Mandir and Shiv Mandir in Gram Sabha Kushiya Choun Malla. Further approvals include Rs 3.8 million for the construction of a connecting road from Kholi to Dhandli and Rs 4.7 million for the beautification of Maa Bhagwati Mandir Chami Bhaiskot.
Additional projects include Rs 4.8 million for the development and beautification of Guru Gorakhnath Mandir Mela Sthal and Rs 7.5 million for constructing a trekking/footpath from Gram Panchayat Bauna to Dharitidhar Kulka. A pedestrian horse path from Mandakini Bridge to village Sama Rapti has been sanctioned with a budget of Rs 4.4 million, while Rs 4.5 million has been allocated for the development of Maa Nanda Sunda Temple Udyamsthal for tourism and religious purposes.
The beautification of Someshwar temple has also been approved with Rs 3.6 million. These initiatives reflect the state government’s commitment to infrastructure enhancement, tourism promotion, and community development in Uttarakhand.
