The Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana (TGNPDCL) has floated two tenders for the development of 3.6 MW of ground-mounted solar projects in Warangal under a Build, Operate, Maintain, and Transfer (BOMT) model.

Project Locations and Capacities The solar projects will be set up at:

Namapur village (1.6 MW) Jammikunta town (2 MW) The 1.6 MW project includes: ? 500 kW system at Namapur ? 1.1 MW system at Jammikunta

The 2 MW project consists of: ? 500 kW system at Namapur ? 1.5 MW system at Jammikunta

Bidding Process and Requirements Bid submission deadline: March 17, 2025 Bid opening: March 17, 2025 Bid security: 2% of the contractor’s quoted amount Transaction fee: 0.03% of the estimated contract value + GST Corpus fund charge: 0.04% of the contract value (capped at Rs 10,000 or ~$114.85)

Scope of Work The selected developers will be responsible for: Design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar plants Five-year warranty and operation & maintenance (O&M) services

Eligibility Criteria Solar Modules: Must be registered with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and included in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). Company Registration: Bidders must be registered with the Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO). Technical Experience: Must have completed ground-mounted solar projects of at least 1 MW capacity and have experience in 11 kV energy evacuation within the past three financial years. Financial Requirement: Minimum average annual turnover of Rs 60 million (~$689,300) over the last three years. TGNPDCL's Previous Solar Initiatives In November 2024, TGNPDCL issued tenders for 3 MW of ground-mounted solar power projects in Karimnagar and Sircilla districts.
