Telangana issues empanelment tender of 1 GW Solar Projects

The Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO) has invited bids to empanel engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) service providers for the development of grid-connected solar projects, each with a capacity of 1 MW, totalling 1,000 MW.
The deadline for bid submission is 10 December 2024, with bids scheduled to be opened on 16 December 2024. Bidders are required to pay a non-refundable bid document fee of $350. The empanelment period will last one year.
The scope of work includes designing, supplying, and installing solar power plants equipped with high-efficiency modules capable of achieving a capacity utilisation factor of 19%. Bidders must also provide a Remote Monitoring System alongside a five-year comprehensive warranty and guarantee, as well as one year of comprehensive operation and maintenance from the date of commissioning.
The modules must conform to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers and offer a linear degradation warranty, excluding the first year, guaranteeing at least 80% of the initial rated power output after 25 years.
To qualify, bidders must have at least one year of experience in installing grid-connected, ground-mounted solar projects. Over the past three financial years, they should have commissioned at least 1 MW of such projects with 33/11KV evacuation. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate a minimum annual financial turnover of ₹30 million (~$356,049) during any of the past three financial years or provide an equivalent work order value for the cumulative capacity offered.
Separately, the Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana has issued tenders for two ground-mounted solar projects of 3 MW capacity each, located in the Karimnagar and Sircilla districts. The submission deadline for these tenders is 12 December 2024.
