Tata Power secures 400 MW hybrid project

Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL) won a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) to develop a 400 MW wind-solar hybrid project. This includes a 200 MW base capacity and a greenshoe option for an additional 200 MW, making it Maharashtra’s largest renewable project by TPREL. The project, awarded through a competitive reverse auction, is expected to reduce 895 million kilograms of CO2 annually. The energy will be supplied to MSEDCL, helping meet renewable purchase obligations and future power demands. TPREL's total renewable capacity now stands at 10.5 GW.
