Tata Power-DDL, Probus Unveil Smart Metering Tech
As part of this collaboration, the two companies will jointly develop innovative applications to enhance smart metering and will file joint patents for their advancements.

The Universal NIC is designed to improve connectivity, enabling meter data collection and operations like reconnection and disconnection, even in areas with weak primary networks. It seamlessly integrates with Tata Power-DDL's consumer mobile applications and meter reading systems, enhancing the user experience.

Initially, the advanced NIC will be deployed within Tata Power-DDL’s operations, with plans to expand its benefits to other utilities and regions.
Tata Power-DDL, a joint venture between Tata Power and the Delhi government, serves around 9 million residents in North Delhi.
