Solex Energy Expands Solar Capacity with Chinese Partners

Solex Energy, a leading player in India's solar energy sector, has unveiled a strategic move to ramp up its manufacturing capacity. The Surat-based company announced its collaboration with Chinese entities GMEE SC Solar and ATW for the supply of advanced manufacturing lines. This partnership marks a significant step towards fulfilling Solex Energy's ambitious expansion plans.

The agreements signed with GMEE SC Solar and ATW entail the procurement of cutting-edge manufacturing lines equipped with end-to-end automation. This move is in line with Solex Energy's vision to expand its solar module manufacturing capacity to 1.5 gigawatts (GW), up from the current 700 megawatts (MW) in Tadkeshwar, Gujarat.

The new production line, boasting high-speed capabilities, will facilitate the manufacturing of high-efficiency N-Type TopCon modules and Heterojunction Solar Cells (HJT) technology-based modules. This technological leap is poised to significantly enhance Solex Energy's production capacity, catering to the escalating global demand for premium-quality solar modules.

Chetan Shah, the Chairman and Managing Director of Solex Energy, emphasized the transformative impact of integrating advanced automation and artificial intelligence (AI) into the production process. "By integrating advanced automation and artificial intelligence (AI), we are setting new standards for quality and efficiency in PV module production. This move aligns with our vision for FY 2025-26 to expand our production capacity to cater to the growing global demand for high-quality made-in-India modules," said Shah.

With this strategic partnership, Solex Energy is not only fortifying its position in the Indian solar energy market but also signaling its readiness to meet the burgeoning global demand for renewable energy solutions. The collaboration underscores the company's commitment to innovation and sustainability, paving the way for a greener and more energy-efficient future.
