REIL Invites Bids for 10 MW Solar Projects in Rajasthan
Interested bidders are required to submit their proposals by July 22, 2024, with bid openings scheduled for the following day. The scope of work encompasses comprehensive responsibilities from design and supply to testing, commissioning, and maintaining the projects for a period of 25 years.
Key tasks include conducting site surveys, assessing solar potential, and finalizing project capacities. Additionally, bidders must execute power purchase agreements (PPA), ensure grid interconnections for net metering, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain rigorous quality controls.
Financially, bidders face a non-refundable processing fee of ?5,000 ($59.89) and an estimated cost of ?1.8 million ($21,562.58) per MW. An earnest money deposit (EMD) of ?0.8 million (~$9,584) per MW is also mandatory, valid for 180 days post-bid submission.
Projects quoting capacities of 2 MW and above are eligible, with specific tariff caps set at ?6.50 ($0.07)/kWh for smaller installations and ?4.05 ($0.04)/kWh for larger capacities, ensuring competitive pricing in solar energy procurement.
Successful bidders must secure performance securities within 30 days post-award, demonstrating requisite expertise through prior experience in solar installations. Eligibility criteria include past project experiences and financial capabilities reflective of sustained industry contributions.
This initiative follows REIL?s recent efforts, including the procurement of 200,000 Mono PERC solar cells earlier this year, underscoring Rajasthan?s commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure.
