RECPDCL transfers Odisha power transmission project SPV to Tata Power

Tata Power has officially taken over the Odisha power transmission project Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) after emerging as the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) through a Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process. The bidding was coordinated by RECPDCL, which acted as the Bid Process Coordinator. The project will be developed on a Build, Own, Operate & Transfer (BOOT) model.

The project entails the construction of a 765/400 kV, 2x1500 MVA GIS substation at Gopalpur in Odisha, 199 km of 765 kV transmission lines, and 25 km of 400 kV transmission lines, along with associated infrastructure. The completion deadline is set for December 2027. (ET)
