NVVN Issues Tender for 7.2 MW Rooftop Solar Project for Assam Rifles

NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) has announced that it is inviting bids for grid-connected rooftop solar systems with a total capacity of 7.2 MW across 26 buildings under Assam Rifles in Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam. The deadline for submitting bids is December 2, 2024, and the bids will be opened the following day, on December 3, 2024.

The project is expected to be completed within seven months. Bidders are required to submit a bid security of Rs 5 million.

The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, civil construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar systems, as well as connecting them to the existing mains, ACDB, and feeder pillars, and interfacing with the electrical loads of the project’s license network. The successful bidders must obtain approval from the distribution licensee or CEIG for interfacing the project with the grid.

Additionally, the scope involves providing a suitable solar module cleaning system, a remote monitoring system, and offering operation and maintenance services for ten years. Bidders must also provide a permanent MS staircase or ladder (at least 1 meter wide) for rooftop access to all buildings with solar installations.

To ensure the contract’s performance, bidders must guarantee up to 10 per cent of the contract price within 28 days of the award notification. This guarantee will remain valid for up to 15 months after completing the project.

Manufacturers of solar panels, inverters, and meters must provide a 10-year extended warranty. The solar modules used must have a minimum capacity of 540 Wp, with a degradation factor of no more than 0.7 per cent per year and a minimum efficiency of 21 per cent. ????
