Ministry of Railways issues bids for 4 MW solar project in Goa

The Ministry of Railways has issued a tender for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a ground-mounted grid-connected 4 MW solar project at Thivim of Konkan Railway in Goa. The project will generate and supply solar energy to Thivim TSS at 25 kV, single phase, 50Hz, along with the required protection system through a public-private partnership on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis for 25 years. The last date to submit the bids is November 29, 2024. Bids will be opened the same day. The project will be completed within 180 days. Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1.65 million. Bidders should have experience in completing on-grid or off-grid solar projects with a minimum cumulative capacity of 1 MW during the last seven years. Work experience certificates from government / semi-government / public sector undertakings / public listed companies / private individuals will be considered. The bidders’ average annual group financial turnover should be Rs 300 million during the last three financial years ending March 31, 2024. In June, the Ministry of Railways issued a request for qualification to empanel agencies to implement rooftop solar projects in Rajasthan. The scope of work included the design, procurement, erection of civil and structural works, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. The Samastipur division of East Central Railway in Bihar invited bids to install 10 MW of ground-mounted solar power projects at various locations on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis. In January, REMC Limited invited bids to procure 695 MW of round-the-clock power from grid-connected renewable energy projects with or without storage to operate in tandem with two solar projects of 500 MW and 195 MW.
