Madhya Pradesh govt to announce new EV policy soon

The Madhya Pradesh government will soon announce a new Electric Vehicle (EV) policy and is currently revising the existing industrial policy to include better features, said Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon.

Addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry’s- Madhya Pradesh annual session 2022 side-lines, the minister stressed the development of the state into a logistic hub as well as a food security destination through improvement in connectivity and logistics.

Madhya Pradesh is the leading producer of pulses, soybean, organic cotton along other agricultural produce and can be a food security destination for several countries. With proper logistic support, the farm produce of the state can be exported all over the globe.

The minister told the media that the state government is making additions to the land bank; it has one of the largest land banks in India.

On the progress of a mega industrial park and an international airport which was recently announced, he said that they are looking to develop something within close proximity of Indore due to the place being the one that attracts plenty of investments. Pithampur and Dewas areas are the most in-demand. The center of the country, if provided with better facilities like warehousing and manufacturing, will make logistics easier and businesses more feasible for industries.
