L&T Secures Rs 25-50 billion Orders for Clean Energy Grid Projects

Larsen & Toubro's (L&T) Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division has obtained new contracts both within India and abroad for the development of substations and transmission lines.

An exchange filing revealed that these projects are crucial to the extensive, interconnected electricity network, with the goal of advancing the clean energy transition and ensuring a dependable, resilient power supply.

In India, L&T's PT&D has been assigned two 765kV double circuit transmission line projects. These projects are essential for transporting power from the Jaisalmer/Barmer Renewable Energy Zone in Rajasthan to substations in Madhya Pradesh, where the power will be further distributed.

This effort represents progress in effectively harnessing and utilizing renewable energy resources within the country. Internationally, Saudi Arabia is enhancing its 380kV network in the central region as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable and efficient power supply.
