L&T Partners with John Cockerill for Renewable Energy Technologies

L&T Energy Green Tech Limited (LTEGL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Belgium-based John Cockerill to collaborate on Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and Thermal Energy Storage (TES) technologies. The partnership aims to explore strategic opportunities in manufacturing, component supply, and engineering solutions for CSP and TES projects.

LTEGL, a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro, specialises in sustainable energy solutions, including green hydrogen and electrolyser manufacturing. John Cockerill, with over 200 years of industry experience, brings expertise in solar thermal receivers used in CSP plants across the UAE, China, Chile, and South Africa.

The collaboration is expected to accelerate India’s renewable energy transition and contribute to the country’s net-zero targets.
