Kerala Invites Bids for 2.7 MW Solar Power Projects
The bids will be opened on June 3, 2023. The projects are part of Kerala's efforts to increase its renewable energy capacity. The solar power projects are expected to generate around 3.2 million units of electricity per year. This will help to reduce the state's dependence on fossil fuels and improve its air quality.
ANERT has set a deadline of May 10, 2023 for the submission of bids. The bids will be opened on May 11, 2023.
The state government has been actively promoting the use of renewable energy sources in recent years. In 2022, the government announced a target of generating 20% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025. The development of these solar power projects is a significant step towards achieving this target.
