GE Vernova Secures Rs 5 Bn Order From Power Grid
GE Vernova T&D India saw a rise of 2.29%, reaching Rs 1,391.15, following the announcement of securing orders worth Rs 500 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India. The order involves the supply and installation of transformers and reactors under a bulk procurement agreement.
The project covers the bulk procurement of 765kV class transformers and reactors of various capacities, and the execution is expected within 36 months.
As a leading player in the power transmission and distribution sector, GE Vernova T&D India provides a diverse range of solutions to efficiently transfer power from generation sources to the grid. The company offers products ranging from medium to ultra-high voltage (up to 1200 kV) for the power generation, transmission, and distribution industries.
The Power Grid Corporation of India, established by the Government of India, is the central transmission utility of the country. A Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, the Government holds a 51.34% stake in the company as of December 31, 2024.
