First 1320 MW Khurja STPP Unit Starts Supplying Power to Grid
The Khurja STPP will supply electricity to Uttar Pradesh (64.7 per cent), Rajasthan (21.3 per cent), Uttarakhand (3.9 per cent), and unallocated regions (10.1 per cent). The plant is equipped with a Flue Gas De-sulphurization (FGD) system to reduce sulfur dioxide (SO?) emissions, reflecting its commitment to environmental sustainability.
THDCIL is also progressing on other significant projects, including the 1000 MW Tehri Pumped Storage Plant and the 444 MW Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP). Senior officials, including project heads, were present during the operational milestone. News source: ET Energy
