Epic Energy, Niva Ecotech Partner for 35 MW Solar Park

Epic Energy Ltd has announced a partnership with Niva Ecotech Pvt Ltd to develop a 35 MWp (25 MW) solar park in and around Solapur, Maharashtra. This venture marks Epic?s first major solar project, led by its subsidiary, Epic Renewable Projects Pvt Ltd.

Epic aims to build several solar parks in India, with the Solapur project being the initial step. The company has already identified multiple sites in the region and plans to reach a total installed capacity of 140 MWp (100 MW) within the next two years.

The agreement highlights Solapur?s suitability for solar energy projects, a sentiment echoed by Niva Ecotech, which has previously executed several solar projects in the area. The partnership is expected to leverage Niva?s expertise in solar park development to expand India?s renewable energy footprint.

Epic Energy, with two decades of experience in energy conservation and green energy, and Niva, a seasoned player in solar EPC and installations, will work together to make this solar park a success. Additionally, Epic is in discussions with major corporates to set up Group Captive Open Access solar plants at the Solapur site.
