CESC Partners for Major Wind Project

CESC announced on Thursday that its subsidiary, Purvah Green Power Private Ltd, has signed a binding agreement with Ecoren Energy India to develop a wind power project with a capacity of up to 686.85 MW. Notably, Ecoren Energy India Pvt Ltd is an independent entity and not part of CESC's promoter group, as confirmed in an exchange filing.

The ambitious project aims to enhance CESC's renewable energy portfolio and contribute significantly to India's clean energy goals. The wind power facility is expected to be commissioned within three years, contingent upon securing the necessary licenses, permits, and approvals from relevant authorities.

This initiative reflects CESC's commitment to expanding its renewable energy capabilities, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions. As wind power continues to emerge as a vital component of the renewable energy landscape, this partnership with Ecoren Energy India marks a strategic move towards enhancing energy diversification and reducing carbon emissions.

The successful implementation of this project will not only bolster CESC's position in the renewable sector but also contribute to the broader objectives of energy sustainability and environmental protection. With wind energy playing an increasingly crucial role in the energy mix, CESC's proactive steps indicate a strong focus on meeting future energy needs through clean, renewable sources.
