NTPC floats tenders for solar plants at Shajapur Solar Park

NTPC Renewables, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has floated tenders from consultants to carry out a geotechnical investigation for 105 MW and 220 MW solar power plants at Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh.
The deadline to present the proposals is December 24. Bids will be opened on the same day.
The work must comprise mobilising equipment and rendering engineering supervision and technical personnel as needed to conduct the field and laboratory investigations.
The successful bidder must provide 3% of the total contract price as a contract performance guarantee within ten days of the release of the award letter.
The work must be achieved within six weeks from the date of the letter of award.
NTPC Renewables was announced as one of the winners in the Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited’s (RUMSL) auction for 450 MW solar plants at the Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. NTPC Renewables acquired a capacity of 105 MW quoting Rs 2.35 per kWh and additionally a capacity of 220 MW quoting Rs 2.33 per kWh.
The proposal said that if the work is not finished within the specified time, the consultant will have to pay liquidated damages at 0.5% of the contract price, subject to a maximum of 5% of the total contract cost.
The complete field and laboratory work should be supervised by a post-graduate in geotechnical engineering with at least five years of experience in geotechnical investigation work. The scheduling of analysis, laboratory tests, interpretation of test results, and the drafting of the report must additionally be conducted by a post-graduate in geotechnical engineering with at least five years of experience.
Any production or consulting company related to the consultant will not be qualified to engage in any project resulting from or related to this consultancy assignment. Micro and small enterprises (MSEs) will be given preference.
